About Bite
Bite makes plastic-free oral care in refillable glass jars, founded in 2017 by Lindsay McCormick, a former television producer who was alarmed that roughly a billion plastic toothpaste tubes are thrown away each year and began hand-pressing toothpaste tablets in her apartment. The line has grown to toothpaste bits, mouthwash bits, whitening gel, floss, deodorant, and a bamboo brush.
The company is founder-owned and a certified B Corp, independently verified by B Lab, and it is certified cruelty-free and vegan by PETA. Its fluoride-free options leave out fluoride, which is a cavity-protection tradeoff unless you choose the fluoride version, and the subscription refills cost more than a drugstore tube.
