About Wee Gallery
Wee Gallery began in 2002 when Surya, a graphic designer with a background in chemistry, botany, and zoology, and Dave, a former teacher, had their son and dove into the research on how high-contrast visuals help a newborn's brain develop. The husband-and-wife studio makes high-contrast black-and-white art for newborns, organic cotton soft toys and crinkle toys, wooden teethers, puzzles, and swaddles for ages zero to about five. Its soft toys are sewn in a small, family-owned factory certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), an independent organic textile certification, and its paper goods and maple teething rings use Forest Stewardship Council certified paper and wood, a responsible-forestry standard. The brand is unusually candid about its plastic: it discloses that crinkle toys carry a plastic crinkle film inside the organic cotton, that some toys use certified polyester fill for washability, and that products still arrive wrapped in protective plastic because nothing else has protected them as well in transit. Pricing is specialty-toy premium rather than mass-market.
