About Apple Park
Apple Park was created in 2009 by Angie Ting, who comes from a family of toy makers and designed the line with her own two young children in mind, partnering with Pate International, a San Francisco design firm run by Susan Pate and her daughter Chloe. The brand makes organic cotton plush animals, teething rattles, crinkle toys, dolls, and baby apparel with a soft storybook look. Its stated mission is to create lovable, stimulating toys from organic, sustainable, and recycled materials, and the brand states its organic fabrics meet the Global Organic Textile Standard or the Organic Content Standard, two independent systems for tracing organic fiber through the supply chain. The brand also states its products are certified non-toxic and phthalate-free by TÜV SÜD, an independent testing laboratory. One honest note: the plush filling is corn-based PLA fiber, a bioplastic, which is still a plastic even though it starts as cornstarch, and pricing sits at the premium end of baby toys.
