About Bee's Wrap
Bee's Wrap is a Vermont company founded in 2011 by Sarah Kaeck, a home bread-baker and mother who was frustrated that plastic wrap ruined a loaf's crust and began making waxed-cotton food wraps by hand in her own kitchen. The reusable wraps and bags are organic cotton infused with beeswax, jojoba oil, and tree resin, washable and compostable, meant to replace cling film.
The company is a certified B Corp, meaning B Lab independently verified its social and environmental performance, and it is a member of 1% for the Planet, giving at least 1% of sales to environmental nonprofits. Because the wraps contain beeswax they are not vegan and are not made for raw meat or hot food, and they need replacing after about a year, so they cost more up front than disposable wrap.
